Grant Program

The Ankeny Community School District Foundation provides grants toward the mission of motivating and inspiring high-quality education. Teachers and staff have the opportunity to apply for funding for equipment and projects that reach beyond the regular School District budget. Since 2000, the Foundation is proud to have awarded over $650,000 to creative and innovative projects and activities.

Grant applications for 2024 will be accepted Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024 through Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024. Ankeny School Foundation board members will review and score each application individually. The highest scoring applicants are eligible for funding. Teacher grants have a maximum award of $1,000 and student club and organization grants have a maximum award of $500.

Past Recipients

The grant program has supported a variety of innovative projects across the district, including the Computer Aided Design Lab at Ankeny High School (AHS), a Treats for Troops project at Northview Middle School, an after-school literacy program for Parkview Middle School, and an Earth Day beautification project at Ashland Ridge Elementary. The AHS Academic Boosters Club was formed with a mission to raise academic achievements and attitudes, and received initial funding from the Ankeny School Foundation.

Other projects have ranged from the enormously popular “Prom Night” for retired citizens of Ankeny to an All-District Art Fair displaying student art from schools across the district. The Ankeny School District Foundation is proud to be a part of so many wonderful and creative projects designed to expand the educational opportunities of our students.
